Performance Opportunities

The faculty presents a large number of performing ensembles: Concert Band, Orchestra, Vocal Ensemble, Intermediate Band, String Orchestra, Stage Band, Percussion Ensemble, Intermediate Band, Rock Band, Clarinet Group, Flute Choir and Sax Ensemble.

Each year showcases performers and composers in many concerts: Recital Evening, Gala Music Night, Summer Festival of Music, Year 12 Soiree and on occasions such as Speech Day and Education Week Individual students participated in the NSW Public Schools Performing Ensembles, the Schools Spectacular, the Millennium Marching Band and State and Regional Music Camps. 

The annual Music Camp provides an opportunity for ensemble rehearsal and a chance to refine performance skills. 

Tutorial Program

The tutorial program provides students with access to professional musicians for both individual and class tuition at school in flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone, tuba, percussion, drums, vocal, violin, viola, cello, guitar and bass guitar.

Highlights of the music program include:

• Diamond, Gold and Silver awards at the Engadine Music Festival and Yamaha Festival for Concert Band, Orchestra, Stage Band and Intermediate Band. 
• Annual instrumental music camps 
• Music road trips
• Student Representation in NSW Performing Arts Unit Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Stage Band, Singers and Marching Band. 
• International Music Festival  Rhapsody Rotorua 2009
