St. George Girls High School has a vibrant and active environment club consisting of 30 enthusiastic students drawing from years 8 to 12, who facilitate the many projects within the club such Paper Recycling, Worm Farm and the Vegetable Garden. These students run the various projects, with the general school population to participate. The Garden project has developed as part of the Enviro Club.
St. George Girls High School has an annual Green Day in November each year where the entire school participates in workshops relating to various aspects of the Environment and Sustainability. An interschool student forum is also held to allow students from other schools to network and share their ideas.
The Enviro Club committee also work on environmental issues involving the wider community beyond the school gates such as the implementation of water bottle refilling stations in the Kogarah council area and the sponsoring of a Koala to raise awareness of the threat to this species.
